- Streamer is a shoutcast player. It lets you listen to MPEG
- files over the Internet. There are many players out there, but
- this one has some unique features:
-
- - Supports Shoutcast server clusters. If the first server is busy,
- streamer will try the next, until no more servers are left in the
- list.
- - Written in C for fast execution.
- - Can open on custom screens.
- - Lets you see the stream's webpage. (Requires OpenURL.library)
- - Small, yet powerful GUI with interactive buttons.
- - Allows you to save the stream to your hard disk, for later
- playback.
- - Saves playlists to the hard disk.
- - Can stop and re-start playback.
- - Written with web browsers in mind.
- - Recognises and streams RealAudio 2.0 files
-
- v1.16 (06-Aug-01) New: Streamer starts from an icon. Docs are in HTML. You
- can start new streams without restarting streamer. CLI supports standard
- AmigaDOS ReadArgs. (You may have to reconfigure your browser.) Record only
- option added.
- Fixed: Freed menus and fixed signalling problem to Streamer Net Process that
- caused crashes on exit.
-
- Streamer is FREEWARE! My way of saying thanks to the best
- computing community that ever was... Amigans!
